Philippine Ambassador Cup to tip off next month

MORE basketball action is in store for fans next month.

The Filipino Basketball Association (FBA) will be organising the Philippine Ambassador Cup Basketball Competition 2012.

The tournament will see competition in three categories League Division, Tournament Division and 47 & Above Senior Division.

The League Division will pit Class A players against each other and each team is allowed two imports at a time during a game.

A 10-star rule will be enforced to decide the level of the players.

The Tournament Division is for Class B players and the same 10-star rule applies while the latter is for veteran players.

Joining fee is set at $400 per team for the League Division while those interested in the other two division are only required to pay $350.

All managers, players and staff must be a member of the FBA to be eligible to join the competition.

House rules will be discussed on August 5 with the teams that are participating.
